Besharam Movie Details

After the success of ‘Yeh Jawani hai Deewani’, expectations from Ranbir Kapoor’s next romantic comedy movie ‘Besharam’ has been on the rise and rightly so.  Slated to release on 2nd October, 2013, Ranbir is finally going to share the screen with his parents, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh for the first time in this movie, although not in a parents-son relationship. Directed by the ‘Dabang’ director Abhinav Kashyap, the film is about a con man ‘ Babli’ played by Ranbir who is chased by two policemen Chulbul and Bulbul played by Rishi and Neetu respectively. The film also stars Pallavi Sharda as Ranbir’s love interest.

The Besharam’s trailer, which released on 30th July 2013, gives us a sneak peak into the fun journey the audiences will have with the fim. The 3 minutes 2 seconds trailer of the film is a fun riot. The film clearly has the mass appeal that is surely going to attract and entertain every strata of the society just like Dabang, which was equally appreciated by people from all walks of life. In the very first scene of the trailer, we have Ranbir singing the famous song from DDLJ – ‘Tujhe Dekha toh’ in his punjabi accent while attending to nature’s call on the mustard fields. The introduction of the Rishi and Neetu’s characters is also done quite innovatelvely. With many over-the-top action sequences, the movie is Ranbir’s Dabang as quoted by him in one of his interviews. The movie is an outright commercial and is meant to entertain the weekend crowd during the pre-festive season.

While music director Lalit Pandit has done a good job with the title track ‘ Besharam’ which is fun and peppy, the remaning songs too live up to the expectations of the audience and keeps them engaged. In the past, Lalit has been able to win the hearts of millions with tracks like ‘munni badnam’ from Dabang. However, songs of Besharam hasn’t quite reached that level of popularity as of now but the conclusion is best decided once the film is out.

With fans of Ranbir eagerly awaiting the release of Besharam, the tagline of the film - "Na sammaan ka moh, na apmaan ka bhay" has been creating a rage among the Ranbir’s fan, especially the ladies. The film is made on an above modest budget of 50 crores and is mostly shoot in India. The movie is thematically comedy cum action and hence, Ranbir’s fans should brace themselves to see some muslce action from Ranbir’s end in the movie, which is a rare thing coming from Ranbir’s end.
